Our friend, Nicole, received her Aggie ring this semester, and since neither Jeff nor I had ever technically dunked our own Aggie rings, we wanted to have a combined ring party! The Aggie ring has an interesting history which I will not elaborate on here, but just know that our ring-dunk was about as nontraditional as you can get. While the rings are most commonly placed in the bottom of a large pitcher of the alcoholic beverage of one’s choice, we opted for a reasonable amount of home-made chocolate mousse (which was very tasty!) It was a fun evening for all including the basketball game– see Brian for those highlights, you know how I am with sports!

Our kind, beautiful, tremendously talented friend Nicole. If you ever need a Russian translator or expert on the culture, she earned a bachelor’s degree in Russian and International Studies. She’s also musically gifted and blesses all who hear her with a superb soprano voice.

Got the rings!

Chris making a face at the pink lemonade.

Friends Michelle and Nathan. They are a sweet couple ever ready to spread joy! They head to Thailand, Singapore, and Cambodia this summer as part of an AFC summer mission group.

A photo with the fabulous hosts.  Sara, Kelly, Traci, and Brenda put on quite a party!

Posing with Chris and Kelsey under the gazebo.

Sara chose tulips for the centerpieces– excellent choice!

We enjoyed these beautiful yellow roses in the front flower bed for a few weeks.

We enjoyed a delicious meal at Square One in downtown Bryan to celebrate Chris’s birthday– thanks to his lovely parents!
